Fried Fish with Ginger Soy Bean

Hey people, here's another recipe! I got a request for the khmer style beef jerky, but i can't do that until it gets a bit warmer ya know? but any hows this is also easy. Just deep frying the fish is the hardest. Ingredients : Fish : any 2 fish, In this case we used 2 flounders but snapper is recommended by my mommy lol Ginger : 1 ginger or how ever much you like more or less Salted Soy Beans : 2 tablespoons worth Garlic : 2 cloves Vinegar : 1 teaspoon Sugar : 2 teaspoon Cooking oil Instructions :  Prepare the fish if you caught it. Scale and gut etc, but we didn't in this case lols... Dice the garlic, chop the ginger to small thin and long pieces. Deep fry the fish. The temperature has to be pretty high so be careful ayy. Fry 'till cook ya know?! Heat a pan with cooking oil in it. Add garlic and fry till it gives off an aroma. Add ginger fry and stir until its a little bit dehydrated. Add the salted soy bean, vinegar, sugar and fry for roughly 2 - 3 minut

Beef Lok Lak

Sup people, I've been CBF and sick lols! but mostly CBF ahaha but its all goods. I will keep posting as much as possible! This is something really easy and fast! Give it a try! Ingredients: Beef : 200g Lettuce : 1 head Tomatoes : 2 Onion : 1/2 Garlic : 2 cloves Soy Sauce : 1 tablespoon Crushed Pepper : 1 tablespoon Sugar : 1 teaspoon Oil or Butter for cooking =D Note: You can make a sauce for this. Ingredients for the sauce is 1teaspoon each of lemon or vinegar, pepper salt, and soy sauce and of course stir to mix ;P Instructions : Slice the beef into thins slices and place into a bowl Add the sugar, soy sauce and crushed pepper and mix. Leave to sit. Now wash the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. Dice the onion. Slice the tomatoes into thin slices. Rip the lettuce into big portions. Place the lettuce on a large plate, followed by the sliced tomatoes and then the diced onions. Now dice up the garlic and add to a heated pan with the cooking oil or butter. Fry the garlic

New Years Chili Honey Soy Chicken

Hey everyone, here is a dish that me and Vibol Duch made during our time up at Whitianga. It was really nice so yeahhhh I decide to do it this week. Really easy to make so give it a go :) Ingredients : Chicken drumsticks : 10 Honey : 3 - 4 tablespoons Soy Sauce : 15 - 20 shakes Dark Soy Sauce : 1 shake Garlic : 3 cloves Chili : 2 Coriander : 1 stem Note: it is totally up to you how sweet, salty or spicy you want the chicken to be. Just make adjustments yaaah =P Instructions : Defrost and thaw the chicken if frozen (DUH!) lol and place into a mixing bowl Add the honey and mix until it is even Now add the soy sauce and dark soy sauce Cut the garlic into thin slices and add into the mixing bowl Now chop the chili into the slices and add it to the mix, slice however thick you like but I generally do it quite thin Now chop the coriander and add into the mix and Start mixing thoroughly Leave it to sit and preheat the oven on fan bake to 180 degrees Tin foil the oven tray and

Monday 13th June 2011 Char Keow Teow with Khatna (Fried Beef Noodles with Chinese Broccoli) Hey peeps, this is a day late, because I was kinda not in the condition to be doing this kind of thing on Sunday... reasons beyond my control...lol. Any hows today I learnt how to make fried noodles! it doesn't take long to cook, BUT it does take a while to prepare for. Anyways nice and tasty like always. Ingredients : Thick white rice noodles : 175g (roughly half a pack) Top side beef : 200g Chinese broccoli : 5 stems/branches Garlic : 2 cloves Eggs : 1 per dish Soy sauce : 6 dashes roughly Dark soy sauce : 1 dash Oyster sauce : 3 dashes Oil Note: If you like it chili, just add the chili sauce when the dish is prepared. =D Instruction : Firstly put the noodles into a container and add water until it has softened. Ba Bor Mouan

Sup people, today I learnt about Ba Bor Mouan. I actually didn't make it because I was kinda too tired from last night -_- but any how, this meal is good as. Just takes longer then the normal Ba Bor. Ingredients : Rice : 1 cup Water : 12 cups Chicken : half of one Salt : 3 teaspoons Garlic : 2 cloves Carrot : 1 Spring onion : 2 stems Coriander : 1 stem Bean sprout : however much you like Cooking oil : approx. 1 teaspoon Instructions : Cut the carrot into small slices Dice the the garlic into tiny tiny pieces Dice the spring onion and coriander into the size you like best Get a pretty big pot, put the water in and bring to a medium boil Once boiled add the carrot and chicken Boil until the chicken is cooked While the chicken and carrots are cooking get a frying pan and heat the oil to a medium temperature Add the garlic into the frying pan and fry until golden When the garlic is done wash the rice and then place into the frying pan (at this stage the rice is

Char Kroeung

Sunday 29th May 2011 Hey all, today we made Char Kroeung. This involves a lot of herbs so it is very flavour-awesome. You could say its kind of a like a yellow curry, but with less things like potato and that. Also note that these ingredients is for a whole chicken lols. Ingredients : Lemon Grass : 1 stem/branch (whatever you call it) Garlic : 3 cloves Turmeric : 0.5 teaspoon Kaffir Lime Leaves : 5 (cut into halves) Chili : 2 Salt : 0.5 teaspoon Sugar : 1.5 teaspoons Chicken : whole chicken Water : 0.5 cup Note: you could also use beef or lamb. Instructions : Cut the chicken into small portions Finely dice the lemon grass, garlic and then place into a herb crusher Add turmeric into the mix and begin to crush the garlic, lemon grass and turmeric until it becomes paste-like Dice the chili and place it into the herb crusher and mix it Heat a frying pan to medium high temperature, and place the mixed herbs Fry until it produce an aroma of the herbs, then remove the

Salted Deep Fried Fish

Sunay, 22nd May 2011 Part 2 Here is a great complimentary dish to go with Ba Bor Sor (white rice porridge). Its salted fish which has a lot of flavour. Ingredients : Fish : 500g Salt : 1.5 teaspoons Sugar : 2.5 teaspoons Sesame Salt : 0.2 teaspoons Oil : As much as you need to deep fry the fish lol Instructions : Prepare the fish such e.g. scaling and cutting the guts out Cut the fish into small portions Place the fish into a bowl, a bowl you can mix the ingredient Add the salt, sugar, and sesame salt into the bowl and MIX thoroughly i mean THOROUGHLY! lol Now you are ready to fry Place oil into a sauce pan or whatever you can use to deep fry Heat to 180C (roughly that temperature if its too hot the oil will explode or something) Lightly place the fish in Cook the fish for about 3-5 minutes each side or to your liking note: don't drink and fry, safety first D: also, drain the fish by placing paper towels into a plate prior to serving. Ba Bor Sor (white rice porridge)

Sunday, 22nd May 2011 Since winter is coming upon us fast, I have decided to learn how to make Ba Bor Sor (white rice porridge). This meal is great for winter and for when you are sick as it warms you up and is easily digested. Ingredients : Rice : 1 cup Water : 6 - 7 cups Salt :   1 teaspoon Extras:  coriander, spring onion, soy sauce Instructions : Put 1 cup of rice into a pot and rinse 2 - 3 times Add 6 - 7 cups of water into the pot Add 1 teaspoon of salt into the pot Place pot on the element and bring to a boil Turn down the element and let it boil softly while having the pot lid half off  Let it boil softly until rice becomes fluffy Remove top layer of starch regularly through out the boil notes: for a more or less watery meal just simply put in more or less water accordingly.
